At VisionApp, we believe that technology can improve the visual health of millions of people. That is why we are proud to announce our new collaboration with Alain Afflelou, one of the most internationally recognised optical firms. Together, we are launching a pilot study that aims to bring digital tools for detecting presbyopia to people over 40, in a simple, quick and convenient way from home.
What does this collaboration involve?
During a special campaign for progressive lenses, Alain Afflelou will offer our presbyopia measurement application to its customers. Thanks to our tool, anyone can check whether their current glasses are outdated or whether it is time to consider their first pair of reading glasses.
This project is not just a promotional campaign, but a decisive step towards the digitisation of eye care. Through the pilot study:
- VisionApp provides its visual self-assessment technology, based on clinically developed tests.
- Alain Afflelou customers over the age of 40 receive exclusive access to the tool.
- In just a few minutes, you can find out if you are showing signs of presbyopia or need a new prescription.
VisionApp does not aim to replace specialists, but rather to support them. Our digital tool acts as an initial filter, helping opticians to better understand each patient's needs before their visit. This collaboration with Alain Afflelou is an example of how digital and face-to-face services can be combined to offer a more comprehensive experience.
This project marks only the beginning of a shared vision: to make visual health more accessible, preventive and personalised. Because seeing well means living better, and together we want to make that possible.
