Double presence at ARVO 2026!

April 17, 2026 | By Vision.app Team

Can you imagine being able to measure your refraction at home with clinical precision? This is the breakthrough we will be presenting at ARVO 2026. We bring you all the details about our double participation in this prestigious international congress and how smartphones are changing the rules of the game.

While we recently announced our participation in OPTOM, today we are proud to share another major milestone: our colleagues Ginés Martínez-Ros and José Ángel Díaz-Guirado will be traveling to Denver (Colorado) to present not one, but two research posters at ARVO 2026.

What is ARVO and why is it so important?

ARVO (The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology) is the largest and most respected eye and vision research organization in the world. Its annual congress brings together thousands of scientists, ophthalmologists, and optometrists from across the globe to share the most cutting-edge and disruptive advances in the sector.

Having the opportunity to present our studies on an international stage of this caliber is an enormous recognition of the scientific rigor and innovation behind our project.

What will we be presenting?

On this occasion, the team will present two complementary works that demonstrate the potential of our mobile application for measuring refractive errors such as myopia and astigmatism remotely.

  • Clinical Validation: "Evaluation of a mobile application for rapid remote refractive error measurement" (Presented by Ginés Martínez-Ros).
  • Real-world Monitoring: "Home-based validation of a mobile refractive error measurement application" (Presented by José Ángel Díaz-Guirado).
  • Location: Denver, Colorado (USA).

Both studies point in the same direction: smartphone technology is consolidating as a reliable tool for remote visual health monitoring. This not only empowers patients but could also significantly improve access to eye care worldwide.

We wish Ginés and José Ángel the best of luck on their journey to ARVO 2026!
